• Basic diagnostics and crash information that help us fix problems.
• Approximate or precise location, only if you turn it on for a feature that uses it.

Location data

Location is optional. You can plan a full trip without sharing it.

• If you deny location access, you can still build, save, and follow your trips.
• When a feature needs your location, the app asks first and explains why.
• You can change or withdraw location permission at any time in your device settings.

TripAtlas does not track your location in the background for advertising.

How TripAtlas uses information

AI and travel planning

TripAtlas uses automated travel-planning intelligence to turn your trip details into itinerary suggestions. The trip details you share, such as destinations, dates, and preferences, may be used to generate and improve those suggestions.

Suggestions are a starting point, not a guarantee. Please review any plan and confirm important details, such as availability, opening hours, and travel eligibility, before you rely on it.

Sharing and third-party services

TripAtlas does not sell your personal information. Some trusted third-party services help operate the app, grouped by category:

• Sign-in services that let you create and access your account, such as Apple and Google.
• Payments and subscriptions handled through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
• Hosting and infrastructure that run the service.
• Maps and place information used to ground your plans.
• Diagnostics and crash reporting that help keep the app stable.
• Travel-planning intelligence used to generate itinerary suggestions.

Payments, prices, currencies, taxes, and billing are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms. The amount and currency you are charged are set by your store account and depend on your country or region, and prices may change over time. TripAtlas receives confirmation of your subscription or purchase status, not your full payment-card details.

We may also share information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

Data storage and security

TripAtlas uses reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including:

• Sign-in sessions stored securely on your device.
• Account-protected access to the trips and details tied to your account.

Children

TripAtlas is intended for a general travel-planning audience and is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International users

TripAtlas may be used while you travel, and the services that run the app may process information in countries where they operate. Those countries may have data-protection rules that differ from your own.
